The Pot O’Gold Men Return for St Patrick’s Day 2026 in Durham

The Lucky Pot O’Gold Men are back at Walkergate to celebrate St Patrick’s Day 2026 in Durham!

Every year, the golden duo emerge from Katie O’Brien’s Irish Tavern to spread a little luck to the patrons of Walkergate’s restaurants and cocktail bars.

This year, the St Paddy’s celebrations will descend on Walkergate on Saturday 14th March from 12pm-5pm, just in time for the Six Nations 2026 Super Saturday

Catch all the action of the back-to-back rugby matches at Kate O’Brien’s and Durham’s Wetherspoons The Bishops’ Mill, and enjoy the games in the heart of the city with the best Guinness in Durham and good vibes aplenty.

Sports not your thing? We’ve got all sorts at Walkergate, from cocktail bars like Champagne Bar by Ebony and Slug and Lettuce to family dining options like Nando’s and Ask Italian. However you celebrate St Paddy’s Day, you can do it in style with us!

With an excellent selection of eateries, secure city centre parking, and seasonal celebrations throughout the year, there’s plenty of great reasons to visit Walkergate this St Patrick’s Day.
