There’s nae better time to enjoy a wee dram and some hearty Scottish fare, as we celebrate Burns’ Night here at The Bishops’ Mill in Walkergate. Running from Wednesday 21st to Tuesday 27th January 2026, Burns’ Week is a great opportunity for visitors to Durham to enjoy seasonal Scottish specials.
During Burns’ Week, The Bishops’ Mill will be serving a range of limited-time dishes celebrating classic Scottish flavours, including haggis, neeps and tatties, a traditional Burns’ Night favourite, and The Caledonian Burger, featuring two beef patties topped with haggis and a whisky sauce, served with chips and beer-battered onion rings.
The drinks menu will also highlight a selection of Scottish whiskies as well as Scottish beers and guest ales. For those taking part in Dry January, low- and no-alcohol options will be available throughout Burns’ Week, ensuring there is something for everyone.
