Run don’t walk to Walkergate Durham City this July

July sees the return of the Durham City Run Festival and Walkergate Durham is ready to welcome supporters, competitors and families to the city.

The three day event takes place between the 18th – 20th July and sees runners descend on the city for a celebration of running, fitness fun and of course – Durham.

As well as the 10k and 5k runs which make up the Durham City Run itself, the festival also features urban orienteering and a special family run.

All this activity is enough to build up an appetite. Luckily for runners and supporters alike, Walkergate Durham is full of fantastic restaurants and venues to eat, drink and celebrate with family and friends after the event.

With RIO Brazilian Steakhouse, Lane 7, Ask Italian, Champagne Bar by Ebony, The Bishops’ Mill, Slug & Lettuce, Bohemia, Nando’s and Katie O’Briens all a short walk from the starting line, you’ll be guaranteed great service, great food and drink and perhaps most importantly – a comfortable seat!

Access to Walkergate Car Park
If you are heading to Durham to take part in the Durham City Run festival or to cheer on loved ones, don’t forget to use Walkergate’s onsite Durham City centre parking. Ticketless, safe and secure, it’s just a lift ride to the starting line.

On Thursday evening 18th July, during the Durham City Run 5k and 10k race, between 18:45pm – 8:00pm, there will be no access entering or exiting the Walkergate Car Park.
